Evolutionary dynamics on networks

Population structure defined by networks can have a major impact on both the probability and the average time that new traits take until fixation in asexual populations. It is now computationally possible to analyze all networks up to a certain size for these properties. As of now, it is unclear how larger network behave and which characteristics of them drive their properties. The goal of this project is to develop new techniques based on evolutionary computation to tackle larger networks. The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated and curious individual with a strong background in mathematical biology, physics, or computer science.
