Studies of geophysics and physics, Diploma in theoretical physics (2002), doctorate (summa cum laude) Kiel Univ. (2005), postdoc Harvard Univ. (2005-2007), Group Leader (Emmy-Noether fellow) of the Evolutionary Dynamics group at the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, Plön (since 2007).
