Abstract (auf Englisch):
In the last few years, there has been an
increasing interest in trying to understand human
societies from the paradigm of complex systems. In
this context, the key to make progress is to have an
accurate description of how people interact with
each other, as interactions are the basic ingredient
to understand emergent societal phenomena. In this
talk, I will present a few examples of work in this
direction, consisting of experiments in an economic
style to which we have tried to add a social
dimension. Time permitting, I will discuss
cooperation on social networks when (possibly fake)
reputation is available, collaboration in a strongly
hierarchical society, social interactions in varying
contexts and climate change mitigation with
inhomogeneous resources. I will finish by
introducing the work we are doing within the H2020
project IBSEN (http://www.ibsen-h2020.eu)
as an opportunity soon to be available for
researchers in this field.
