Library & Information Service
The library of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology provides literature and information services for the Institute’s staff. It provides printed and electronic media for fundamental research on many aspects of evolutionary biology. The collection focuses on the research areas of the departments and working groups at the institute.
We see ourselves not merely as providers of literature and information, but as collaborators in the research process. We want to ensure that every researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology has the information, tools, and expertise they need — when and how they need it — to advance our understanding of life’s diversity and evolution.

Further information
Until further notice, the library is only accessible to employees and guests of the institute. We regret that the library is currently closed to external visitors. Due to the ongoing renovation, only a small part of the physical collection is available.
